Not sure if it was one thing in particular, but he lost most all of the crew that was with him during the great run in 2007-2010.
Spice, 25 Cent, Big Dick, and Dave Rice all left. Then eventually Brent left I believe.
Part of the reason that Stern fans got into Bubba was because of the way he interacted with the circle of guys he had there.

Brent leaving was actually a good thing because I think that guy was about to go postal. Listen to the show when they got him drunk on whiskey. The guys has/had serious PTSD from his military career or just life in general.

Bubba claims the Sirius execs had it in for him pretty early one stemming from a law suit by one of this guests. He had some porn star in and was doing what most shock jocks do with a porn star during a show. For some reason she decided to sue Sirius for the way she was treated. Bubba told him to ignore her because she was just using drama to stir up the pot and get something for it. They settled out of court and Bubba had to pay back Sirius out of his pocket.

As his contract got closer and closer to expiring, Sirius had still not talked about renewing. During this time Bubba built his own studio so that he could broadcast the show on Sirius or FM. He singed a deal with some local FM stations and also renewed with Sirius. The guys did a morning show 6am-10am on FM and then a Sirius show from 3pm-6pm Monday - Thursday and a live Sirius show on Fridays from noon to 3pm.

That lasted about a year until he and Sirius just decided not to renew. Bubba claims that they offered him very little money considering his guys were working 18 hour days doing two shows 4 days a week.

Tim Sabean got a lot of heat from fans over this.

Howard hyping the channels before his move to Sirius and what we have now has been the epitome of :effort: "They're going to give me two whole channels to program, Robin!"

It started off so promising with the goal of giving random wack packers, staffers, and exiled terrestrial radio folks a new home. During the soft launch they had a show with Howard's parents answering fan questions and a 24 hour feed of Wendy the Retard doing random poo poo to give a taste of what the channels would be like, which ended up being a bit of bait and switch IMO. To be fair, there's been a slew of good shows in the past like Back Office Radio, Geek Time, Black on Black, but those have all fallen to the wayside. I think things have become so much worse with the new PD, they even cancelled the Harry Fisch show, only old dogs like Fitzsimmons and Jay Thomas have stuck around, Riley is the only wack packer there (and who knows how long that will last with his health), and the WUS reformatting has been harrible.

Oh man, this brings back memories. I remember that Howard was hinting at Bubba to not build this giant studio right before Sirius made their low offer, and Bubba was so angry that he burnt the bridge with Sirius and went off to that failed RadioIO thing that was basically revealed to be some scam on Bubba's fans. I remember listening to the first day of it and all the truckers bitching about having to get a data plan for their phones and....yeah, it was just nuts.

I think the only mention of it was Jerry O'Connell of all people once calling in and saying he heard a disturbing rumor that he left the show for Opie and Anthony. But Howard explained that Tim was a Sirius employee and that's where he was needed apparently. Don't think they've ever mentioned Tim actually leaving Sirius on air, I just remember Howard talking about a new program director all of a sudden.

I think there was a rumor that Howard hired an efficiency expert. She came in and observed everyone and told Howard that Tim wasn't necessary. I don't know why he left OandA but he wasn't there very long.

90% of Howard's staff isn't necessary and he's never fired anyone ever, there's no way he'd tell Tim to hit the road.

The only thing that gets you permanent separation from the show is doing legal things to Howard & Co.(see: Elliot Offen, Chaunce, Crazy Cabbie, etc.)

1) They had good interesting guests.
2) Their complete inability to understand any type of technology. It was glorious.

I don't think the O&A assignment was something he wanted. The only thing with them that he tried to do was the 'media destination' madness before he left. In fact, the only thing he really did with anything was help Ron & Fez move to Raw Dog so they could try to revamp the show and bring Fez out of his funk. The big Fez meltdown in late 2013 was based around a dinner Tim, Ron, Fez, and Chris Stanley had at the Friar's Club.

I'm guessing Tim was on his way out and they wanted to see if they could make him fix some problems that nobody with a career in mind wanted to deal with.

Bubba had a 2 hour video of his wedding showing all the NY people down in Florida hanging out with them.
Its common knowledge that a few of the BTLS crew liked to wrap the toots and many of the NY crew looked like they had just done a line with them...Tim included.
