By my math, if he's got 2500+ subscribers as someone above said, that's $150k a year just from subscribers.

It's 75k due to half being taken by twitch, but still insane for streaming vidyas.

Twitch takes somewhere around half of sub revenue so it isn't anywhere near $150k from subs alone (but add in his donations and it probably is). For somebody with 2500+ subs, they probably take around 40%.

Some older streamers get 3.50 from every 5 instead of 2.50. Not sure if Wix is in that category.

They are talking yearly income, and he easily tops 150K between subs and donations.

Yeah, I've seen streamers get several hundred per stream with the occasional 1k+. If they stream daily... you do the math.

unknown split and tax so I'd assume 2.5 bucks per sub - 90k at 3000

In theory if someone made a game as hard as Boshy he might play it.
But part of the reason Boshy gets so many views/donors is because it's got all these references that make you or me puke but the average viewer is gonna go HAHAHA DO THE MARIO *throws money at screen*

I wonder how Witwix running another game would still work as far as viewers and donations go.

Notch subscribes to Witwix and has dropped in big donations just for the hell of it. Not that Witwix needs Notch's support. Witwix also just moved to Irvine, CA so now he's much closer and can hang out with Notch more regularly I guess!

There is a seeded run after this. The seeded run is literally around 3 and a half minutes and it's almost entirely brainless.

The people who run BOI actually like the fact that runs are different so you have to make quick decisiosn.
