You probably should look at all the Total War: Shogun 2 stuff, they had a lot of that sort of art.

It's a very niche request, but does anyone have a line on contemporary-style depictions of figures from Hindu mythology? Gods, devils, heroes etc.

Thanks for the feedback and the pics.

My concept for an NPC psychiatrist in 40k is basically a dreg getting in over her head. She's promoted from bartender to a noble's adviser. She saves a noble's life by shooting the right thing and saves the noble's only son by words.

She would take her job seriously because it pays well. Her patron would take her seriously because she's got this mystical way with words. The nobility would treat her like a novelty that can't possibly last. The Lord-Sire would treat her like someone worth retaining because she might have a niche use with a few prisoners the thread won't kill or brainbox. It's no coincidence that I'm designing her with those prisoners in mind.

Ravana, the raksharaja who's gimmick is having something like 10 heads. The guy with the fire skulls above him is the same myth.

Art based on Zelazny's Lord of Light might be good. In particular, Jacob Atienza's work:

You might also like Jack Kirby's concept art for a movie that never came to be.

Don't worry about it.
I require as much art of 4e D&D-style Gnomes as humanly possible. Finding a large variety of art for them has been a huge pain in the butt.

In exchange I offer cool art from a dude that does a lot of good D&D/Pathfinder character art:

I'm looking for Dark Sun-y stuff. Anything from sorcerer kings and their city states to horrible desert hellbeasts to oases to anyone who looks like they belong in a desert environment.

Is it kosher to post images from archived Dragon/Dungeon articles? I downloaded a bunch of it but I don't know if it would be illegal/discouraged to post it.

Yeah Dragon/Dungeon is fine. Please mention the artists if possible but WotC doesn't even do that half the time, so w/e. As for your request I have some pics on pretty much every fantasy-related board, but here's a few good ones.
