Guess he found some abandoned Eevees in a box. No other explanation.

Aaaaand now he's pulling Eevees out of a sign. I have to say I've seen Pokemon Blue get glitched to hell and back so many different ways but this is a special kind of magical here. This makes the rest of the Any% glitch runs look downright straightforward and sane.

Missed the Luigi race, was it as good as I had hoped since FyFy and Veman are great?

And now we're in Ghost Tower. What even. EDIT: And he's being challenged to battle by Pokeballs.

I wonder if he has memorized all his item shuffling or if he's actually thinking in machine code now e: THAT POKEBALL JUST ! US AND WALKED OVER TO US

Nah not anymore, we're fighting a level 0 Gengar. This game is solid.

Someday I hope to program a game whose RAM can be manipulated by something as innocuous as throwing items away.

Gen 1 is a house made out of popsicle sticks and they forgot the glue.

Direct memory manipulation glitches are endlessly entertaining to me. There's a run (I don't remember if it's real-time or TAS) of Super Mario Land 2 where you get pushed through a bottom of a level and the blocks that the game conjured up represent actual bytes of data, so you can skip to the credits by breaking the right ones.

I cannot wait for them to eventually just code another Pokemon game and set a record for Gold while playing Blue.

I want to say this was at AGDQ, even. gently caress me if I can remember what it was, though I think it was real-time.
