A photo journalist, Rubén Espinosa, was murdered, along with 4 women in an apartment in Mexico City. Espinosa worked in Veracruz and was threatened by aidees of the governor Javier Duarte (although the governor himself had threatened journalists); he moved to Mexico City after noticing people following him often. This is a big deal because, although no one will probably accuse officially the governor or anyone on his team, everyone knows what's happening there, as Veracruz is the most violent state in Mexico, currently, and the one that accounts for most deaths of journalists so far (previously, another 2 journalists went missing). It's alarming, however, because usually Mexico City was seen as 'the' safe place, where you can be safe from organized crime, mafias and so on, but welp. The photo that caused Duarte and his team to get upset was this one, presumably because it's unflattering and shows him as someone authoritative and, well, the message is "Veracruz: Lawless state":  As a note of interest, in one official speech Duarte claimed that he admired Francisco Franco.
