I almost took him over Mike Hoffman my previous pick but I liked Hoffman a little bit better.

Nice, it was a tough choice between him and Drouin for me. I really like Nichushkin but it's hard to argue he has more potential than Drouin.

eh, I don't think there's a clear cut guy for that. How bout just top scoring forward. That would be Tanguay or Callahan I think.

top scoring D would be Wideman

Technically he said someone who isn't John Scott.

e: Yeah, I'm not sure there's a clear cut best guy left in goal, highest scoring player remaining sounds like a good bet usually, and he will probably be back for his next pick. I'd personally go with Callahan since he's younger.

I like Pastrnak because I imagine his name being pronounced like 'tabarnak' in a really drawn out Quebecois accent and that makes me smile.

I'll go with a hometown boy and take Anders Lee

25 goals as a rookie and 20 came at even strength, mostly on the islander kid line. There's a chance he'll play at first line LW with Tavares this year which should cause those numbers to get even better. But even if he doesn't play there, he's young, has a good scoring touch and he's a big dude. And he's american and I needed more of that flavor on the new islander squad.

Oh crap its a good thing I checked before heading to work, you guys moved quick this morning.

Chicago is happy to select the leagues only vampire that has somehow made it this far, Valtteri Filppula, because he is cool and awesome and it makes up for my rushed and pretty bad pick last round.
