I think Rick Perry having to come to this is actually the best thing that could happen to him. He doesn't have to say anything to Trump or get beat up by him, so he will be the only 'big one' to actually get time to talk himself up and talk issues, and he gets to do so in front of idiot lightweights who are out of their league. Dominating the kids table is going to be more positive airtime than getting puffy and redfaced staring at Trump. I expect a poll bump for him coming out of this.
