Yeah I guess that could be parts for something. I did see that for real once recently- big dual stacks in the bed, but was gas powered and had the stock exhaust.

I get low, I get aesthetics, but intentionally making your car into a nearly non-functional art piece, and then trying to drive it? Never got that. I like to be able to drive my car, and not destroy tires and various bits of undercarriage. He's done nothing to improve anything to that BRZ. I guarantee it's slower and rides and handles worse than it did stock. In other news, get off my lawn, I guess.

If you're too freaked out about the lack of safety equipment in your 1940s Chevy truck to drive fast enough to keep up with freeway traffic, you might not want to drive on the freeway. Else you'll get rear ended by a tractor trailer and find out how many safety features are lacking.

Uhm, that was a 1942 Lincoln Zephyr v12 coupe. Also, they were doing at least 55mph in the right lane, which is hardly so slow as to constitute a hazard -- trucker wasn't paying attention. Car is owned by the owner of one of the only officially commissioned Contential MKII convertibles. (http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2011/06/look-at-what-i-found-1956-continental-mark-ii-convertible-by-hess-eisenhardt/) I assume this was in similarly good condition before the trucker murdered it. nm fucked around with this message at 07:27 on Aug 8, 2015 |

Those jeeps would be very much illegal in Pennsylvania due to uncovered tires outside the body work. I'm assuming other states may have similar laws. Don't drive behind those jeeps unless you enjoy gravel flung at your windscreen.

Big sorry. The newspaper said 1940s Chevy truck. Going 55 there is suicide, the traffic moves at 80 and there are blind curves from jersey barriers all over. Plus all the local surface streets there are 55 mph speed limit. If you want to go 55 its better to not use the highway there. There's tons of car shows here any people going to woodward and all the people I know don't use the freeway because its crazy in a newer car let alone one that has no crush zones.

went to a car show last night This is the worst car bra I have ever seen, and of course, it's on a Plymouth Prowler from behind that hardtop makes it look like it hosed a PT Cruiser. Also, when did these LED lights become a thing for Bel Airs? I've never seen any before (the second one did have an Edelbrock/Musi 555ci under the hood though)

No picture, but it was a mix of terrible and awesome. Saw a fairly straight, but definitely in need of work, 280Z bombing down the road, bouncing like crazy. Pulled up next to him. Asked him what year. "80". Asked if he knew if his brake lights didn't work "I know.. I have a new wiring harness on the way". Then I noticed the tags expired in 2004. Guessing he just got it running very recently and wanted to see what it needed to get it roadworthy again - engine sounded pretty healthy, and he was beating on it pretty good. No smoke at all. I've only seen it on the road once since then. Terrible because it was obviously very unroadworthy (no lights, shocks were basically non-existent, etc), awesome because the guy sounded like he planned to put some work into it.

As an owner of a polarizing oddball, the Isuzu owns bones. Although I'm also a sucker for the so-ugly-it-looks-good school of automotive design. I've only ever seen a few in person but it always makes me do a double take.
