If the GOP was looking for a way to pump the Trump bubble, attacking him for saying sexist comments is exactly the correct way.

I think that was probably a bad idea for the Donald :(

Trump is trying to spare his best bro as he valiantly destroys the Republican party as a double agent. Maybe. He knows there's going to be tons of burned bridges in the business world because of this, he's directly opposing some of the biggest money in the country. At this point, if he DOESN'T go all-in the rest of the billionaire class might tear him apart. It's all or nothing.

I listened to Limbaugh on Thursday because I was wondering where he stood.

For the 45 minutes I had it on it was nothing but white-knighting and defending Trump, and claiming there was a conspiracy out to get him ahead of the debate that evening.

I don't know what his numbers are like now, but I know WAAAAAAY back when I listened to that trash unironically he had something like 20 million listeners.

Can someone remind me of the rules for the republican primary, in terms of how the delegates work? If Trump wins the state primaries, are the convention delegates forced to give their support to Trump or can they vote for whoever the establishment wants as the candidate?

RULE NO. 16
Election, Selection, Allocation, or Binding of Delegates and Alternate Delegates
(a) Binding and Allocation.

(1) Any statewide presidential preference vote that permits a choice among candidates for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in a primary, caucuses, or a state convention must be used to allocate and bind the state’s delegation to the national convention in either a proportional or winner-take-all manner, except for delegates and alternate delegates who appear on a ballot in a statewide election and are elected directly by primary voters.

(2) The Secretary of the Convention shall faithfully announce and record each delegate’s vote in accordance with the delegate’s obligation under these rules, state law or state party rule. If any delegate bound by these rules, state party rule or state law to vote for a presidential candidate at the national convention demonstrates support under Rule 40 for any person other than the candidate to whom he or she is bound, such support shall not be recognized. Except as provided for by state law or state party rule, no presidential candidate shall have the power to remove a delegate.
