Simply cannot be. Arin's also just straight up said on the show that he specifically hams things up for Danny to play straight-man to but people still act like it's 100% serious game criticism because he made a couple bad videos attempting serious game analysis like five years ago.

This is the first I've heard of this movie, and after watching the trailer... did it set off anybody else's alarm bells? I'm a bit concerned, because it right now it looks like Furries: the Movie. Not even trying to disguise it as a stylistic choice or something, just "Hey, here's a movie about furries. They do explicitly people things in a modern people setting, but also they're animals and sometimes try to eat each other. That's it." Am I just jaded from years of horrible things, or does it actually read like some weirdo's sweaty desperate pitch that somehow flew past a CEO's filter?

Does Looney Toons set off that alarm too? There have been animal characters doing human things for decades and decades dude. That being said, will furries latch on to the movie and draw their fursonas loving the main characters? Definitely.

All the furries SA made fun of around 2000-2003 are now in high enough positions in entertainment to get a pitch through and/or be a viable secondary market for an animated flick. That's basically it.

The trailer basically starts with someone defining what furries are.

There hasn't been anything truly relevant about Mickey Mouse/etc. in years, so why should kids care. Still it's kinda funny that The Lion King is now a furry movie rather than furry characters being bad Lion King recolors.
