wait, ehlers was taken but willie nylander wasnt? ok i'll take him and alexander wennberg

nylander may or may not fully make the show next year but the dude's going to become loving awesome. im ok with spending a pick earlier for the future and if he does make it, all the better

wennberg already made it last year and showed a pretty similar growth pattern to his best comparables, lazar and horvat - just horvat got a bit lucky and lazar got publicity

I debated Domi vs Nylander but opted for something that might affect my team next year.

E: was also hoping Semin and Grabovski and Kulemin would keep dropping but oh well

Oh hey, didn't realize I was up. I'll take Mikael Backlund. He's a really good two-way forward with excellent fancy stats, and hopefully can put up enough points to play in a top six role. Also, he's only 26 and has a reasonable cap hit. He probably doesn't have too much room to grow in the NHL, but what he is now is a pretty drat good forward.

e: Jakub Voracek - Henrik Sedin - Patrick Kane
? - Bryan Little - Jarome Iginla
? - Mikael Backlund - ?
? - Cody Eakin - ?

Sami Vatanen - Andrei Markov
? - Morgan Rielly

Semyon Varlamov

I'm going to have to move somebody to wing, no idea who.

He was the top C left on my list for a while, I picked Bonino instead for no particular reason besides slightly more offense.

Palmieri was one of the players on my real short list to pick, so I'm now going to take a dude who's super young, very good, and should get top six minutes on a solid offense this year: Boone Jenner. He is going to play on the wing with Hossa and Horvat to round out my top six.

I guess it's probably because he's 35 but I was definitely getting him if he fell again. He's a perfect middle six center.

he's great, but he's got like 2 good years left in him? That's basically why I passed him up. I wanted to use my higher picks for good young guys, esp RFAs. All of the forwards I drafted can score around the same rate or better, are way younger, and most have room to get better. He would have been a perfect 3rd center for me damnit.
