It's not like you're going to live through flipping a Miata if you're taller than 4'3 anyway, so what's it really matter?

That poo poo was just dead weight, who needs their cars tied together on both sides anyway when the wife (who is so vain about her hair but not so vain to get in...that...) is getting too tousled in your roofless sports automobile?

Bonus points if you put it on all wonky and out of alignment. Or on the hood or trunk or something.

Not gonna lie. Ground clearance above 3" is actually really nice. You can drive without constantly having to slow down to a crawl to get over bumps and drainage. Slammed only works on cars that get trailered to car shows.

I had a family reunion last week in Oregon and my father rented a VW Passat. It was a decent car, except there was a pretty nasty smell coming from the trunk that was half masked by some cleaning agent.

A few hours into the drive to the reunion we stopped for food and I emptied the trunk to find the floor soaked with this putrid and definitely organic fluid of some sort. It had soaked into the suitcases and bags. Awful.

By the time we got to the resort a few hours later you could smell the car from 30 feet away.

I opened the trunk the next day to air it out and it looked like this:

Horrible. We called Enterprise and they couldn't help us because they had no cars. Two days later they still had no cars and couldn't help us. They offered a free tank of gas as compensation, which didn't work for me.

So I took to Twitter and made a simple tweet.

We got a new car the next day, a Chevy Captiva, which was a huge POS, but at least it didn't smell like dead animals.

I'm glad they made it right, and also gave a $260 refund, but it sucks that we have to publicly shame companies now to get them to fix their poo poo.

By the way, I never actually rode in the Passat from hell. This was my ride, and it was loving incredible:

If it weren't so big and hard to park in LA, I'd absolutely buy the hell out of a minivan.

The problem is that the people monitoring social media have different powers and motivation than people on the support phones.

On the phones? Follow the script and save money for the company.

On the internet? Make sure our public image is perfect.

It's poo poo, but that's the world we live in.

I have a lemon of a dishwasher (Whirlpool uses loving plastic impeller housings with tolerances measured in the thousands of an inch :wtf:), and they told me to gently caress off after my warranty expired, even though the issue started before it ran out. I guessed the CEO's email and they had someone at my house right away.

(horrible mechanical failure because it's having the same issues all over again. Seriously don't ever purchase a Whirlpool product)

My Whirlpool washer seems to be holding up OK so far, although it does squeak a little if I overload it. In all fairness it was only ~$150 including delivery.

It really is. I rode in it from Bend, OR to Portland and everyone in the car was complaining about the ride quality and terrible seats. GM never fails to disappoint.
