Play all of the Fire Emblem games with an english release, they are all great... except maybe Shadow Dragon? I haven't played that one yet because everyone shits on it, but once I finish the Gamecube FE I'll probably play that as well.

I would also add the caveat of not playing the Wii one before the Gamecube game, since unlike most of the other "connected" games the stories are pretty closely entwined, and without playing the first one a lot of story beats and reveals will lose a lot of what made them good.

I think I'm going to try and 100% Etrian Odyssey again. Last time I was in post game and did the quest with the first dragon not knowing that A) I could have fought it at lv 40, B) it wold get replaced by another dragon and keep me from getting its second drop. SMT4's a good JRPG that has a dungeon crawling focus. And yeah there's Pokemon style collecting of demons, only you can fuse your demons together to make stronger ones. You might find it a little tough to start with until you learn the mechanics.

You fight demons by using your demons, but instead of capturing them you try to talk them over to you. Depending on your answers they'll either join you or laugh at you while pummeling your face in. Fun. If you like dying, this is your game. That being said: This is much more of a roleplaying game than the other JRPG entries, since you do get to choose your actions in certain crossroads. And they do have consequences concerning the world around you and your close friends. What's more, you don't actually have to fight everyone and everything, but can try to talk your way out of trouble. Which is nice, the common fantasy hero trope can get tiring after a while.

Also the game's difficulty curve starts really high but curves down pretty low after a point, so don't get discouraged if you're getting pounded at first. Your first demon recruitments are pretty touch and go.

Sounds decent, i'll mull over it for another day maybe. Also got the YouTube app, i'm in favor of homebrew even if just for the simple fact that it allowed me to chance the eShop music.

I agree with you though the the lack of online is unfortunate, but there's enough customization and supposedly enough single player content that I'm still willing to give it a go, especially for the customization aspect. They're also supporting it post release with weekly Spotpass downloads so that's kinda neat in my opinion. On another note, I really like the aesthetics of a lot of the full robot sets I've seen in games or official art. They've got six of the story characters' robots in decently large art on the website and I like them all except for maybe the fact that the girl's ninja robot is stereotypically pink: http://lbx.nintendo.com/battle

Did anyone play front mission on the DS? Wish that would've been released in the EU  I thought about importing a copy from the US but I can't remember if they're region locked or not, also it's like 90$ at a quick glance, lol.
