You have spent approximately $1,728.69 USD in the game after this card set was released.

My inventory is, like, ~$1150 at this point though, so if I stop uncasing I can probably be in the black eventually.

e2: Yeah, even I think I have an addiction. Thought I've spent way less on this game, but the numbers don't lie. Not uncasing anymore until I get a better-paying job. Solemn vow.

It's a retarded way to gamble, never mind spend money, no matter what job you have.

I've spent $25 in this game, and almost all of it was the result of selling cases and random drops. I have unboxed exactly zero skins worth more than a dollar.

why
Look up the spreadsheet of onscreen's case opening stats. They're pretty grim.

I stopped opening cases. I think that 'you have spent' thing has me at around 400CAD, but I've also bought some keys from a buddy of mine too. I built up the rest of my ~$1600 inventory from trading and betting.

Our own 'demo' has the largest goon inventory I know of, primarily from betting.

Guy opens 7,263 cases at at least $2.50 a pop, gets 1 StatTrak knife. I must have spent around $70 or 80 on my cheap StatTrak Falchion.

I... I think I'm going to have to treasure this thing more.

That would be kind of hard since values can change overnight for freshly released collections, as well as things like the StatTrak tradeup change. I'm sure if he's a decent streamer he gets a lot of money from donations and subscriptions though.

I'm going through his loot for some loving reason. MW Dragon Lore, FN Gut Doppler (2), FN Karambit Doppler, FN Gut Doppler ST, FT Bayonet Ultraviolet, FT M9 Ultraviolet, FN Flip Doppler, FN Bayonet Damascus, Huntsman Vanilla, FT Flip Scorched, FN Gut Marble, FT Bayonet Damascus, FN Flip Fade, MW Falchion Stained, FT Falchion Blue, BS Karambit Rust. This amounts to (roughly) at least 1320 keys. Given that prices vary for some of these, it could be around 2k keys if the luck is there. Rest of it is vario degrees of unremarkable, mostly, and even though there are some good wepaons there as well, I doubt he comes anywhere close to getting half the keys he spent if he was to sell it all, assuming he didn't buy chests themselves.

1. Find whatever sensitivity you feel most comfortable at. Then lower that.
2. Under $100 if you're new, but I suggest not getting a knife unless you absolutely want to spend over $50 on this game.

Waterbed Wendy

I think like every single knife is 40 bucks or higher. So naturally you should buy as many cases and keys as possible so you can make it big and take your winnings to csjackpot

From The OP
Your mouse sensitivity is almost definitely too high

If you're playing with a competent team and you know the map the great majority of enemies should be appearing inside your field of view if not very close or already under your crosshair. Because of this you gain much more by having a low sensitivity, improving your aim in these scenarios, than having a high sensitivity which allows you to respond to being flanked. If this advice seems wrong to you because you're being flanked often enough that keeping a higher sensitivity makes sense, your primary concern should be improving your situational awareness and tactics as that will have a way larger impact on your overall skill. Some goons, including myself, argue that lowering your sensitivity FORCES you to keep your crosshair up and use proper positioning, as you can no longer use insane twitch shooting as a crutch to prop up lazy playing.

Generally you want it to take over ten inches to turn 360 degrees. Yes you read that correctly. Yes your sensitivity is WAY too high.

Also be sure to select 'Use Raw Input' in the options. Most operating systems have mouse acceleration turned on by default which will screw with your aim. Having a 1-1 interpretation of your movements is significantly better.

Use this tool to find out what your 360/sensitivity is: http://www.notalent.org/sensitivity/sensitivity.htm

The cries of the dead are terrible indeed; you should try not to hear them.
If you insist on gambling in CS:GO for fun and profit, don't buy crates/keys. The average loss you'll make is ridiculous, unless you are statistically very fortunate. You'd be better off buying yourself a stock of reasonably valuable skins and then betting them on csgolounge.

Even if you operate at a moderate loss, that's still better than the loss you'll be making opening crates. And if you're not stupid, it's pretty easy to turn a reasonable profit. Bonus: watching matches is more fun, and you still get the excitement of winning new and shiny pixels.

To be honest though, some of it is gone for good.

NiP have been absent in more than a few ways for a while, but they do tend to bring their A game to majors. Although TSM is a big roadblock to them going straight to the quarters, I'm not currently envisioning some kind of collapse like many are. It's really a question of f0rest and friberg showing up.

If they do collapse, lineup change incoming.
