Is it bad if at an epic team tournament I make this my teams theme music?

These Loving Eyes posted:This seems like a great option! Do you mean lines as in clear colored lines in the texture or as the repetition of the edges of the pattern? On the preview picture it looks almost seamless. There are 5 or 6 lines running across it, they are kind of blue/green and I guess the separate the repeating pattern. Honestly it isn't as noticeable and for the price its fine. The fabric/plastic is super thin, but it seems sturdy enough. Time will tell how well it hold together with time, but there is enough for two tables so its not that big of a deal. You could probably glue it to a something sturdier like foam board or something.

Billy Idol is 100% okay theme music material.

Played an epic game today as rebels, using a GR-75 with EM Emitter in combination with Biggs against a friend's new raider. It was quite effective. My CR90 was present as well, but it didn't really get things done, as I had expected more of a swarm and took mainly quad lasers.

I haven't paid much attention to the huge ships because I have 6 Waves to catch up to, but yesterday I took a look at the Imperial Raider. I proxied/borrowed some stuff to play fly 3 TIE Fighters and 3 TIE Advanced with Accuracy Correctors and the X1 Title. They can fly in formation or break into 3 and 3 and they feel Star Wars. If only setting it up for realsies didn't cost 150 euros. The TIE Advance was my favourite ship when I was a kid. Fat Samurai fucked around with this message at 21:41 on Aug 16, 2015 |

Question: When using FCS with a Cluster missile, do you re-acquire the target lock after the first volley? Also, how would that combination work with Redline's ability?

Tacopocalypse posted:Question: When using FCS with a Cluster missile, do you re-acquire the target lock after the first volley? Also, how would that combination work with Redline's ability? Yes, and pretty much like you'd expect: target lock with him for a double lock, use one to fire, use the second to reroll the first shot. FCS kicks in, you get two locks again, can use one to reroll shot two and keep one for next turn.

What happens if you equip two recon specialists to one ship?
|
# ? Aug 17, 2015 01:43 |

In your example, could FCS allow Redline to gain another TL on top of the one he has leftover after the second shot? From my interpretation of his card, Redline not only gets a second free TL when targeting an enemy without one, but he also can spend an action or use FCS to constantly maintain a maximum of 2 on a ship.

bunnyofdoom posted:What happens if you equip two recon specialists to one ship? Going by the literal use of the text, I think it means you gain +2 Focus (so 3 focus total). This doesn't seem like a huge advantage anyway since you can only use it one at a time, and this means at best you can focus for one attack and two defenses, or two attacks and a defense with something like Cluster missiles maybe. Since there's no way to get double crew on the moldy crow you're not holding onto the focus anyway. edit: I suppose it's possible there will be something like Moldy crow for something else, but that doesn't seem very likely.

Hey, I'm about to buy into both X-Wing and Armada. Are multiple core sets necessary in either game? I've heard people say more dice are useful, but is there a reason to buy an extra core set instead of just buying an extra set of dice?

# ? Aug 17, 2015 02:39 |

not having two core sets can be a problem if if you want to play "properly" with a friend at your place if they don't have one, because each player is meant to have their own damage deck. other than that, it's two ties and an x-wing for only a little bit more than two ties or a tie and an x-wing would cost, and comes with a whole extra set asteroids and the measuring tool and stuff if you want spares.

Two cores for X-Wing is probably ideal, but not necessary, and two cores for Armada is completely unnecessary I would think.

Thanks! Sounds like I'll pick up two X-Wing cores. Second question, is there a somewhere that publishes tournament winning lists (similar to Stimhack or NetrunnerDB for Netrunner)? I'll probably just but the ships I think look cool, but it'd still be nice to see some effective lists as a starting point for list building.

EnjoiThePureTrip posted:Thanks! Sounds like I'll pick up two X-Wing cores. Coming from other tabletop/TCG games, looking over the X-Wing prices and lists I've just been collecting pretty much every Rebel ship. Relatively cheap for how much you need. From what I've been told the past few weeks, tournament lists pretty much can be made from Millenium Falcon, a few X-Wings (req cards from both big Rebel sets), two of the IG ships, or a heap of TIE Fighters. The 100 point lists are cool and having a field day, but I'd really like to find people interested in playing obscene 300+ point scenarios.

The official new nickname I made for the cluster mines is Mickey Mouse. It looks like one and this also ties it into the Disney TM brand. (2 weeks ago after a tournament but forgot to post it here)

Hey folks, Miniature Market is selling their pluck foam 1" trays for $5 on their daily deal today: http://www.miniaturemarket.com/dailynews These fit X-wings, E-wings, Z-95s really nicely, and I've had success cutting them with a breadknife to fit them in my bargain Walmart gun case. Very worth it if you want a bit more protection for your little ships.

That's awesome. I'm excited I'll get to integrate my TIE/FO repaint of a standard TIE/LN with actual First Order ships but will this mean Rebels can fly with Resistance and First Order can fly with Empire or are these going to be two distinctive factions? I like the look of the the new Resistance X-Wing and the fact that it has boost. Maybe this even means the old Rebellion X-Wing will get some love from FFG soon. Is that a new droid type upgrade card next to BB-8?
