I tried to start a NG+ game, but it told me that my previous saves were not from after I completed the game, even though they are.

I can't for the life of me figure out to throw bombs or use the crossbow while keeping my sword out. Whenever I hit the button to use one of those things Geralt puts away his sword and THEN uses it. Makes it a bitch to fight flying things when you down them with a bolt but by the time you pull out your loving sword again they are back on their feet and maybe even up in the air again. Please tell me there is a way to quick way to throw bombs/shoot the crossbow in the middle of combat like the Witcher 2.

I see what my problem is now. I had both superior and enhanced the whole time, but they aren't listed next to each other in the crafting screen so when I didn't see one I thought I didn't have it.

Merchant opening times can be a bit wonky. I think half of Velen's shops were marked on my map but completely inaccessible regardless of what time I went to it until after I'd done a couple of plot missions.

Does NG+ mean that I can start the game wearing my mastercrafted witcher gear, but those early game swords and gambesons you find in White Orchard are actually better?

I spent over an hour trying to find nekkers so I could get nekker hearts to make a potion and killed about 30 nekkers without finding a single nekker heart and wow gently caress this game sometimes.

They are my single greatest gripe about the game, the journal especially. Would it have been so hard to indicate the current distance to objective there, or at least a "show on map" button? No, I have to open up the "Secondary Quests" list, find the quest there, track it, switch to map screen, find where the hell is the objective icon, and decide if its worth to go there. And if not, do the same thing again with another quest.

I think they only drop from Nekker Warriors (red faced type) sometimes. Only place you can reliably get them is from the nests. That's why they're a common target for the re-loot bug. I just got to Skillege after basically completing EVERY side activity in Velen/Novigrad and holy poo poo, theres a lot to do here to. I can feel my interest draining, I am thinking about skipping a lot of side content. If I do end up skipping some of it, what are the level requirements to finish the game? Whats a good level you kind of need to be around?
