I'm starting to wonder if he's going "big lie" strategy here. He's getting so upset about secondary issue (people not sticking up for him) and taking the gigantic lie the whole thing is based on (that he got fired due to press corruption/collusion with the LAPD and not because he got caught publishing a lie).
