XP Boost or Vet membership.

Just win the games fast... rush to their closest spawn and F them up. They never expect it.

Incorrect. The fastest way to accumulate experience is to defend an objective. You get about 5 exp for a normal kill, 60 exp for killing an enemy while defending an objective.

As your team pushes forward though the line, you'll run into an enemy advance. Everyone will rush out of the capped objective because that's what people do. You stay in the corner and wait for the enemy. If you hide well enough, you can kill enough people to dominate the scoreboard for the rest of the game. If you are a new player with no smg, use grenades. Pick up enemy weapons and continue killing. When you get killed and respawn, do not assault the next objective, go back to the contested one. You will be rolling in EXP, I promise

This works exceptionally well in the skirmish maps, 2 out of 3 caps are open ground, so you don't need to be inside the objective to clear it from attackers.

Does anyone here "play" the RTS side? I must know for I have questions.

For example, is there any reason to deploy medium armor over TDs, when TDs require half the command points and are roughly the same WF to spawn?

Also, it seems paras and planes are boned in the new morale system, so no point in deploying them either?

Finally, I've spent something like 500,000 WF grabbing guards and light tanks so I can avoid the morale timer they decided to add on top of the queue.

Well you can get people that can drive them in the war matches. The different tanks also have different modifiers when being auto calced.

I've stopped playing the RTS map after my tier3 assault team got reassigned to a different character after the latest patch. Multiple tickets went unanswered. The morale system sucks hairy cocks, and I can't figure out how it works. I moved my plane squad 3 times, they are at full morale. Move them into the battle, suddenly 0 morale. Like, not even a chance to fight and get killed. It simply vanishes at random. After multiple attempts I just gave up.

If you want fast credits, have multiple infantry units. Don't buy upgrades, don't use perishable items other than maybe grenades. Switch units every 10 minutes in the battle, enjoy multiple payouts in the end.

I have since found out paras and plane ATs are bugged... after 1 or 2 combats, they will automatically go to 0 morale.

Or whistle as you about to blow them up. Sometimes they pop out of the hatch to see what's the whistling is about. Then you can be the coolest level 1 infantry around, with your very own tank.

And if you're having fun, it doesn't matter what faction you're in.

Trying this game out because I miss decent WWII games and while it is pretty fun I am shocked at how incredibly blind so much of the playerbase is. It may just be my reflexes from RO2, but running up to a objective to mindlessly stare at it, standing straight up in an open field, is not the greatest tactic in the world.

Oh yes, a thousand times yes. RO players are sharp as poo poo, and you'll never get away with things like running in the open... in a straight line. H&G infantry seem to act like a pack of newborn kittens sometimes. Use your superior mouse clicking skills to mow down hordes of them with your basic weaponry. Also, join mumble.

But that's in staged matches. Go play war battles against Germany, and feel the pain. The German faction has the most amount of people playing, and many are seasoned veterans. People are seriously communicating, sometimes over teamspeak. The war chat is very much alive... and full of actual nazis.

But *I* am playing germans :getin:

The biggest part of it is trying to learn the shooting mechanics, it seems different somehow from RO2. But otherwise it's not a bad game, if a bit grind-tastic. I get that they want you to spend gold but it's kind of pricey for even basic weapons.

E. Bolt action Karabiner 98 for 91500 silver or seven bucks, okay then. I don't even want to know what a tank or sniper rifle costs

The game does not suppress Windows mouse acceleration, you have to modify some files on your computer to make it stop. The physics are much shittier than RO as well, but it's only a matter of getting used to it. It's about 20-25 games to earn that rifle cash, faster if you swap soldiers. Which is about what it'll take you to learn the maps and basic mechanics. There is a bit of depth to this game, take your time. I see people in game with a new tank/plane/sniper gear that they bought with cash and have no idea what to do with it. They lose their fancy new poo poo really fast and pay a deployment penalty to boot. Don't be that guy.

Always have more than 1 infantry soldier for extra cash resource. Don't flop between jobs with 1 single guy, you'll have a ton of wasted resources. Dedicate a separate soldier for pilot/tanker/recon etc.

Edit: Major changes to money and resources acquisition incoming in the next patch

The German faction has the worst teamchat, no question. Always whining about Reto not adding Überpanzer 12 that only saw service in may of '44 in some SS regiment in garrison duty while whining about the PPSh/modded Thompson being able to beat the MG42 and the STG in CQC every once in a while.

You should have several soldiers for both extra income and being able to have a tool for every job you might encounter.

Have at least 3 regular soldiers filling different roles of infantry, then start grinding/buying specialists.

I'll elaborate on this. A new soldier cost 7k to make, it's dirt cheap. Make several. Have a few infantry soldiers equipped with specific items, they will become very good at what they do over time.

1. Tank buster soldier: Equip him with mines/bazooka, grenades and basic weapon with minimum ammo. Dynamite Lover and Hoarder badges will let you equip more explosives. This will be your tanker/pilot/whatever. Get jeep with panzerfaust and drive it often to unlock a wrench and pistol. You're not shooting enemies, you're blowing them to bits.
2. SMG fountain of death soldier. Turn him into a paratrooper later. Excellent at building clearing and defending objectives. Use a Heavy Set badge to survive longer.
3. Rifleman for long engagements, that will be your recon/sniper later. Great for open spaces.

You can switch them instantly when you die, make sure each soldier logs 10 min in the game, it will tripple your cash reward. On 3 way maps, I've walked away with 25,000 per match.

But they have to stay para and pilot and will have a hard time grinding out their basic weapons and badges. It's very easy to get a wrench for an infantry soldier, while you have to be level 9 pilot to earn it.

You grind skills for top guns then need poo poo-tier soldiers to continue playing without losing thousands of credits. Also, you need to grind the lovely soldiers to high rank for a good hourly wage.

This is a special kind of game where the devs discourage playing... Just look at the war map queues.

Perhaps I am just spoiled by Red Orchestra but I am surprised that the kar98 is still a 3-hit kill despite being bolt action. Normally they kinda compensate for that with increased damage. I get that you can mod it for OHK but that doesn't help much trying to level it

I heard the patch might drop this week. I hope they activate more than one war at a time... The queues are silly.

Better yet, they really need a "test war server" where they can more agressively test their resource system ... This would also give people a chance to avoid the horrid queues. But, I guess all battles would auto-resolve, so maybe it's a bad idea... I don't know.

Weren't they planning on making resource replenishment rates based on territory control or something?

e: who am I kidding we're likely just getting skins and guns.
