Hyouka might've put me to sleep if it was any other studio but my god the spaces!!! (and faces)

Hyouka was really slow and it kind of started to get to me in the last few episodes, but it's totally worth a watch for the great artwork and notably (even for KyoAni!) fantastic animation.

are there/were there a lot of shows that did the whole film grain/damage filter thing for reminisces? cause it's funny I guess it probably got it's start with like, live action movies/shows and the reminisces being actual home movie footage and then eventually it just came to mean 'reminiscence' for people but I wonder how long it's been in animation

Someone posted some Yozakura Quartet gifs in here a little while ago and got to to start watching it, so I'm posing these in the hopes that it inspires someone else to do the same:    It doesn't usually stand out to me, but even I've noticed that the sound design in particular is just amazing so far. I feel like it's an underestimated part of a show, but they really nail all the effects and it's just fun to listen to.
