Neruz posted:Crystal and Slave Matrices do not have the startbattlespell\onebattlespell stat line, I suspect they are actually hardcoded somehow to force the communion master\slave status similar to how Communicants and the new mod command work. As far as I know they do not in fact cast any spells at all. That's actually pretty drat useful with stuff like Barkskin Amulet that autocasts a spell. That would mean all communion and the master would start off the battle buffed.

Barkskin Amulet is actually 'bearer affected by spell' or 'spelleffect' rather than 'startbattlespell' so I have no idea if that will transfer across the communion or not.

Im sure wood is just as flammable as flesh, which is why plant things have no fire vulnerability.

Fear the mighty turpentine elementals; the only way to defeat them is to run away until they evaporate.

It would be cool if cold aura/attacks would transform an enemy water elemental into an ice elemental, but I will admit that's reaching a bit too much. I will content myself with a revision on elemental protections/vulnerabilities.

To be able to take some screenshots because you didn't notice something important was missin or to re-record a part of a video because something went wrong. Stuff like that. Question. Have anyone took a magical path to 10 for your Pretender? Why? I just noticed today I could do it (well, I knew it, but somehow forgot about it because I never do it), and I was wondering about it.

Lol, no. Nobody ever goes to 10. That's a scale and a half or a cross-path for summons you're giving up to slightly improve your bless. At best. I guess if you had a national summon that scaled really well and the chassis started at 3 or 4....

Also revealed to me by my godly eyes and also spilly thing himself is that Ulm is in posession of a thronewinning amount of points. Maybe let's coordinate a dogpile of some sort?

My poor ponymans were never able to be made because they were too expensive for my income, and then once I broke out against Abysia and Pangaea, pan's stupid enchanted forests kept me playing wack a mole with trolls and sneaksy goattes. Ulm's pretender had better let my pretender at least end up as a minor functionary somewhere rather than in Tartarus. We were buds, bud.

Patch 4.20 is out! quote:This update focuses on the underwater part of Dominions. A new underwater nation is available as well as a bunch of new underwater pretenders to choose from. Many of the old underwater nations have also got some new recruitment options. There has also been some work to make the AI better as well as more modding, more random events and the usual bug fixes.

Also the standout new UW pretender is pretty much an underwater Oracle but with starting dom 2 and a little mapmove, called a Floating Mind. Its has an aura-type thing called Mind Slime which is like a fatigue effect on enemies that are near it. It costs 30 points, here is a lovely picture of it (this one has had some points spent on it - you can get Dom 6 and the magic paths here with 5 positive scales awake). There's also an old guy with some lobster bits on his head etc. but he's much less good.

That head is pretty bitching. Therodos summary: Pretender selection (Ghost King 20 points cheaper) Capital rec (they are a semi-freespawn nation, their ghosts are Arco based instead of Ermor based) In coastal forts: They have therodian troops (peltasts, hoplites, archers), a new mage called Kabeiros, and a new sacred called Korybant. Melia. Possible low level thug? def 17, mr16, awe3, recuperation, some magic to buff themselves, sacred, h1 to bless themselves... Hekateride W2N3H2+Random 100% AWEN1 +(10% same). Str. Awe6! but physical stats are low. 385 gold. Daktyl A1W1E2+ Random 100% FAWED1 +(10% same). Str. Master Smith 1. 240g. Kourete (the cap sacred) Things to know about them: -They aren't the only sacred, a minor amount of their freespawn are ghost sacred kouretes (similar, but with ethereal), apart from the Korybants and Melias. -They have -1 morale in friendly dominion, instead of +1. -It doesn't matter a lot if you bless them, as they gain berserk +3 AND the berserk effect is automatically activated (no need to wait for a wound). -even if the nation is UW, it wants to be on land. Kouretes and Melias are poor amphibian! Turin Turambar fucked around with this message at 14:08 on Aug 25, 2015 |
