For what it is worth, I think I remember hearing that the writing staff is broken up with part of the staff on the road (which does the reactive writing), and part of the staff in Stamford (which does the long-term writing) but even if that divide does exist those are still going to be big groups, and group-think sucks. I do think that the bigger issue is that Vince doesn't trust the writing staff like he trusted Pat Patterson back when writing was a tiny operation.
