we were talking about the lovely gears of war remaster, here are some more screenshots. one is the Xbox One play GoW in backwards compatibility mode, the other is the remaster  hmm first thought is they added some bloom and made the textures sharper and grittier. kind of a cheap way to make it look better, seems like a waste of time fake edit: oh poo poo original one is on the top

game development tends to push the boundaries of what hardware is capable of more than most any software that runs on consumer machines. the people who make game engines are not dummies or ignorant of computer science.
