I really don't think so . they're some of the best-developed games ever made the story is crazy but honestly, Kojima's basically just grabbing ideas from all over the place in terms of sci-fi and war porn and jamming it all together with no editors except himself. He then tries to frame it in a way that's cinematicly awesome on top of it all he basically uses all the processing power he can out of the platform to fill in the details that barely anyone will notice. people are still discovering codec conversations from the old ones that never pop up unless you call a certain person at a certain time. like this poo poo: MGS for PSX had sound settings in the option menu- basically "Stereo" and "Mono". One boss fight uses the stereo speakers to indicate what direction he's coming from. If you call in during the Hind-D fight with the setting set to Mono, this is what you get https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzG8Sty9veI they paid 3 different voice actors to say lines for a conversation that probably won't be heard by many people at all, just in case people with mono tvs we getting dusted

Miller says that the Metal Gear trademark long cutscenes no longer dominate. Gameplay far exceeds cutscene stuff. The majority of the story is buried in cassette tapes and that it's very easy to miss.
