But yea I'm eager to see them play 5, I'm a huge MGS fan and they seem to 100% embrace how stupid and fun these games are, so I'm looking forward to a solid five minutes of Matt trying to use Diamond Horse's poo poo tactically or whatever because why would you waste such a wonderful feature?

MGS4 is actually a pretty high tier MGS game. It goes: MGS 2 > Rising > MGS 4 > MGS 1 > MGS 3 > Ac!d > Peacewalker > Portable ops Though they're all good games.

The only Metal Gear games I've played are the NES version and original MGS on the PS1 and that's enough for me to say MGS is my all-time favorite PS1 game. I really need to play the other ones. Kojima may not like the NES games, but they were part of my childhood and had great music, drat it.

MGS 1 was really cool when it came out but it has kind of aged worse than any of the others, even for a PSX game and honestly just isn't as interesting a story or setting as the rest of the franchise. I can totally understand putting 4 ahead of 1. You're out of your goddamn mind to say MGS 4 is better than 3 though. Peace Walker is still the best though. All the interview tapes where you get all the between character conversations/development and the perfect multiplayer and all the goofy poo poo you can do puts it at #1. Until Peace Walker 2 The Phantom Pain comes out, at least.

As someone that loves Monster Hunter far more than Pat, Peace Walker is definitely at #1for me due to PW being MGS + MH, and that's even disregarding the literal Monsters you have to fight.
