Seemed like he lost lift at the bottom of the loop. Probably didn't know he was in all the poo poo until a second before impact. Now, why he or anyone else involved in the air show would think doing a loop low above a trafficked area is a good idea is a really good question.

He had airspeed in a dive. Not exactly conditions for losing lift. Dude initiated the roll too low to the ground. That's the simplest explanation for that mishap, which is also a common reason as to why guys have crashed performing such a maneuver in the first place. Too low at the start, or confusing MSL for AGL

If that plane haden't landed at pretty much the only piece of land not filled with people and residential buildings I'm not sure Sweden still would have any fighter plane production at all. Pilot-induced oscillation is exactly that. It'd a bunch of minor, corrective inputs that lead to unstable flight. New guys do it regularly during aerial refueling as the receiver aircraft. The aircraft will bob up and down on the pitch axis unless they settle down and quit hunting with the nose.
