Poe is probably the only named person to step into a Wang or TIE on-screen in Episode 7.

But most of the named characters in Star Wars got their names from action figures. This seems like a formula Disney would be happy to replicate.

I have now amassed a small army of small plastic ships to play with my friends. However, my core gaming group usually prefers four-player games over two-player games, so I was wondering what kind of arrangement would work best for teamplay: 100 points per side as in a regular 1 vs. 1 match or 200 points so that basically there are four squadrons, two on each side? The latter seems a bit more tempting, but I wonder if it drags the game too much.

Secondly, which missions do you find the most fun? I find it easier to rope my friends into this if there is an objective instead of just plain old dogfighting.

My current collection consists of:
2 x Core Set

1 x X-Wing Expansion
1 x Millenium Falcon Expansion
1 x Rebel Aces Expansion

1 x TIE Advanced Expansion
1 x Imperial Aces Expansion
1 x Slave I Expansion (still in the mail, will arrive this week hopefully)

I'm tempted to buy the TIE Phantom to add more options to the Imperial side, but I have to keep a break from this constant impulse-purchasing of plastic toys.

200 vs 200 would be a huge unfun slog which would drive your friends away from the game.

Why don't you just do 100 v 100 and on each team one guy flies the most expensive ship and the other guy flies the rest. Even better if you keep it simple and just do 2-ship lists. Try that out first before you get more complicated.

I can't wait until "fly casual" gets twisted by people overusing it to complain about stuff like this until it becomes X-Wang's equivalent of people bitching about WAACs. "Ugh, look at this rear end in a top hat not flying casual. Go back to Star Trek Attack Wing!"

My local Facebook group is because the leaker was a local and the playtesters are freaking out that the entire city might get their opportunity to do unpaid labor for mickey mouse revoked.

They're really proud of the fact that only the pilots got out, because the entire box was apparently spoiled. I missed that, or I'd be releaking it myself.

I was thinking I'd like to try a longer 150 or 200 point battle (though as 1v1, so less wait between players) now that I have a bunch of ships. Has anyone tried this? What is it like?

(I suppose it's just a lighter version of epic, and at least one person here said they did it and it turned out alright.)

stubbornly tried for like 3 weeks to make Vessery work a while back, failed

now I'm going to try and make Guri work for some reason

Guri (30)
decoy (2)
stealth device (3)

Boba Fett (39)
bodyguard (2)
recon specialist (3)

Serissu (20)

Total: 99

Guri decoys Boba, Boba gets uses recon specialist to activate bodyguard turning Guri into a 5 agility ship. Hopefully this happens at range 1 of an enemy so Guri can snag a free focus and Boba can get offensive and defensive rerolls. Serissu takes an evade action every round and buffs defence for as long as possible. Boba is doomed so it's a gamble to see how hard I can make Guri work before he bites it.

Dunno. Imma give it a shot tonight.

Seems like a lot of effort to give Guri an extra agility die. Wouldn't it just be easier to take Xizor and keep him close to Bobba to have Bobba take any hits that slip through? This way, your opponent might actually be tempted to take a shoot at the thing with 4 agility dice, instead of just going after Bobba.

Guri would be amazing if she had a higher PS- unfortunately she doesn't really bid past enough of the field to make use of the StarViper's game.

Most of the advantage of Xizor to me is his ability to bid up to PS9 more than his pilot ability.

I don't want to get them in trouble. The story is that the owner went to Target and found these there, bought all 8 and resold them at cost, because he's just always been that great of a guy.

My neighbor picked one up and snapped some shots. The build quality on the ships is just really really good, best I've seen so far.

Flew this against a Biggs, Wedge, and Garven list, pulled out a pretty decisive win. Boba died right on schedule (I estimated he'd be good for 3 rounds of firing before he goes belly up) but both Serissu and Guri made it without a single point of damage until the very last round when I finished off Wedge. I think I like this list, but I realized flying it that it's really vulnerable to ordnance lists due to the tight range restrictions on all of the mechanics.

That new astromech looks interesting...free barrel roll after a green maneuver. Not much use to Y-Wings but could provide some interesting movement options on a T65.

edit; actually even better, it's when you reveal the green maneuver you get to barrel roll right then.

The dials on the tie fighter and x-wing are crazy-
The FO Tie cuts the 3K for 2-S loops and green 2 hard turns, the T-70 gets the Talon Roll on 3 and a green 3 straight.
