Other then the Cerebral Bore, it's really a terrible game that was only hyped up because it was an N64 game.

She leaned forward. "We are going to assassinate the bad men of Hollywood."

They had the demo for Turok 2 on a display N64 in a Sears for whatever reason, and while I was playing it some pencilnecked dweeb told me it would be so much better than Perfect Dark because it used the HD cartridge and had better graphics. The point I'm trying to get at is that Perfect Dark was really drat good and Turok 2 was one of the first games from my childhood that I remember thinking "hey, this game kinda sucks" back when you liked every game you bought.

Turok has already had two reboots, one for PS2/GC/Xbox and one for PS3/360.

That scene in Jurassic World where a full-sized T-Rex magically appeared out of a dark fog 6 feet in front of Bryce Dallas Howard reminded me of Turok

The villain being an evil cyborg Confederate general riding a T-rex was the logical endpoint for the game's premise of "native americans and dinosaurs in space".

I don't really remember Turok, though I enjoyed the n64 one when I was young.

Basically, bows are really cool. So any game with a bow that feels good -- not sure on Turok, but they get points for trying -- is really cool by association. Give the arrows a feel of weight and satisfaction to aiming on the fly... I had a lot of fun with the bow in Tomb Raider and Far Cry 4.

Turok was fun but the main draws were fighting dinosaurs and playing another FPS on your N64 when you'd played so much Golden Eye and Perfect Dark your brain was still playing it when you went to sleep. A rerelease when there are a million FPS games out seems ill-advised.
