Revisited this evening and it turns out it might be an AMD crossfire issue for that game (got dual cards). It can be turned off, but it'd be nice if this game is AMD optimized. Even if it's AMD optimized it won't be Crossfire optimized.

Do you guys think it'll be possible to run the game with medium graphic settings with a GForce GTX660? I know it says minimum on steam, but as for the other settings I'm well above the minimum.

I was on that on launch day (actually a day early) back in 2012 and I had to try and wake up the PS3 thread that the game so many had written off was seriously legit. I'm telling you now son, this game is going to be great. My nerdboner senses are tingling. Rock solid 4/5 game with a potential to be a slow burning cult favourite. And you can take that to the bank.

I got to play it and it's fun, but I don't know if it can be successful financially short term. It will thrive with people going to buy Fury Road "oh, the game is out too", but the 9/1 release will definitely hurt. I feel like they're stuck in a position where they delay the game and lose the Fury Road+game sales or they move both back.

I just found the Gamespot stream, and in that one they say you can drive off the edge of the map as far as you want. Said it just keeps on generating terrain out there, until you run out of gas, hit some cliffs, or get trashed in a giant storm. I feel no shame in admitting I pre-ordered the gently caress out of this. That off map thing sounds amazing, I can see myself wasting hours just dicking around exploring the wasteland and upgrading my car. I am legitimately hype for Monday

Had it not been Avalanche working awfully hard to dispell any preconceived notions about the game being a crummy tie-in, I'd never pay any attention to it. They've been dumping tons and tons of actual gameplay the past month. That's a vote of confidence.
