I used to keep up with A3G because it was so weird, in a stultifying, nonsensical kind of way. Now it's mostly because I want to see what the hell the last few strips Bolle draws on this earth will look like: a few vaguely face-shaped squiggles wandering idly above a blazer and a turtleneck, with a lamp and a curtain circling it warily.

Yeah, while these are composed/constructed a bit awkwardly, the art is not great, and the dialog could be pared down to be a bit punchier, these are so much better than current Dilbert. Like, looking at these, you can sort of see why the comic became a big thing. It's actually pretty good.

Or it could backfire like it did for me and you can drop 80 points (or whatever it was - it dropped a bunch). Granted, that doesn't actually matter since you can just use the larger score, but still. I blame the giant, creepy crucifixion painting on the wall at the Catholic high school I took it at the second time.

True confession: This week has actually been kind of entertaining. Owen's sense of unearned entitlement for making it through the K-12 system being undercut by the fact that he's still the short, slouchy Shaggy lookalike with the stupid hat actually works for me. So a modest gain over the entire month of July. How does TomBat blow it this time?

Not gonna lie, I really hope that when Toby storms off to get advice from Mary about how to save her idiotic marriage, Ian goes to Hilton and tries to get sympathy by saying, "She just doesn't understand the sacrifices I'm making by spending time with you!"

Julet Esqu

I hope Mary tells Toby to be more understanding of the sacrifices Ian makes as the sole breadwinner and is it really so much of him to ask that dinner be ready and his wife be pleasantly dressed and cheerful when he comes home after a stressful day of work? I hope Mary convinces her to go back to him and apologize.
