You call 'em up, get your RMA, then wait for the new one to be mailed. Nah, that's not it. As DethMarine21 said, there was a quirk with Mobius that it didn't always work perfectly with some of the named brands. That's why I bought my SD card from them: I figured that if they did all their testing on 'Wong Fu Plop' branded cards, I should get one of those. I wouldn't be surprised if that's been resolved with one of the many firmware updates since it first came out.

Sadly Amazon's stock is just a smorgasbord of cards from different sources, so you're probably just as likely to get a counterfeit; it's been a problem for years and years, especially with SD cards, and they are probably the one thing you should never never buy from Amazon. Getting one from a brick and mortar store was a good idea, Newegg works too or a third party Amazon seller that the manufacturer lists on their site as an official reseller.

Just gonna c/p my FB rant: Today I drove through two green lights. Fully green, not yellow (a car followed me through the first one as well). I never push lights and always stop on yellow if I can - I was almost killed 10 years ago when someone ran a red light and t-boned me at 55 mph. A cop who was on a side street and did not have a view of the lights pulled me over and told me I had just run two reds. I told him I had my eyes on them the full time and they were fully green. He said "Either you weren't paying attention or you're calling me a liar." Every traffic cop I've met has been like this. One tried to cite me for illegal tint until I had him measure it and proved it was within limits. Another accused me of driving a certain speed when he had no way of measuring (radar, laser, stopwatch, pacing). It got thrown out in court. I was once told that "10% of cops are good, 10% are bad, and the other 80% are just clocking in". From my experience, 80% are complete assholes on a power trip. They think that they're special and that they're infallible. It is spooky as hell that they can just invent charges and their word will always trump yours unless there is other proof. Time to buy a dash cam.

I've got a Cobra dashcam for her and a magnetic mount for it since the suction cup that comes with it doesn't stick to anything, and is huge. Of course, while I was futzing with it, I noticed the suction cup on my front G1W-C was looking a bit brown... the next day it's hanging by the USB cord. Looks like right about a year is what to expect out of a cheap suction cup in the Arizona sun.

Those fuse taps come in different sizes for different automotive fuse types; you should find the fuse box you plan to use and see what type it uses before ordering anything. I used a Littelfuse branded fuse tap in my install and the included instructions were actually half decent.

You should really experience Ontario weather sometime. The storms usually roll across the major highway (401) near me perpendicular meaning you can be enjoying a nice drive under a slightly overcast sky and then suddenly your windshield is entirely water and everyone is trying desperately not to hydroplane off the road. In the winter is the same thing but snow. Deadly loving walls of snow that are visible from a decent distance but you can't stop because there isn't an exit for 20km, so all you can do is slow down, put your car into 6th gear, check your headlights, and enter the abyss.

I was on the highway this morning in the left lane. As I was passing someone, he started to merge into me so I jerked (too much) to the left, lost traction, and did a 360 before recovering in the same lane. I get to work and pull down my B40/A118 dashcam, only to find that it had frozen and stopped recording about 45 minutes before. 3 years of usage and it fails the one time I need it. gently caress this thing, time to buy something else.

If you really like that form factor and are in the mood to drop 200 bucks on a replacement the Street Guardian SG9665GC uses the same case but better internal hardware. Support and reviews are pretty good according to DashCamTalk. I bought one earlier.

Have you gone back to the area of that intersection to try and find either an owner, or a momcat with a litter, or possibly an abandoned litter? A kitten that small is only ever on its own if its litter has been disturbed or its owner lost it.

That intersection is busy as all hell and pretty much just commercial property. I drive by it every day to/from work but I doubt the gas station or Popeyes keeps kittens around. If I see any signs posted when I stop for gas/drinks I'll hit them up. Other than that I'm not going to try much harder.

I've worked a little bit with a cat rescue group. In industrial areas it's typically a momcat who has a litter under a dumpster or in the weeds behind a building or something. You catch the rest by using the one kitten as bait... put them in a carrier or cage, set them near the corner where they were found at a quiet time in the evening or early morning, and back off a ways. Mom or siblings may come around seeking the kitten. I don't expect a random person to go to that kind of trouble, of course. It's good of you just to rescue the one kitten. But it's a thing that can be done successfully, sometimes.

Kittens don't become "feral" until they're older. Small kittens will socialize and imprint on a human with like 10 minutes of contact. The older they get, the more wary they get, and by the time they're 6 months old, a cat that has not been socialized will be more or less permanently feral - they may warm up to a human, but most won't tolerate being touched and will fight if they're picked up. There are exceptions but they're rare. Looks like these guys operate in metro Atlanta, and this group also does stuff in Georgia so they'll have an Atlanta group. You could give them a call if you like. If you do decide to keep the kitten, take it to a vet soon. It needs testing for disease, and should be treated for fleas, worms, and any other parasites typical to your area.
