Came to CoD thread for class build discussions, got mostly PC chat.

Nothing has changed.

I had a lot of success with the Man-o-War (reflex + Grip + whatever else you want). It has a great rhythm to the fire rate which just feels right to me. Rapid Fire slightly messes up that rhythm, but once you geet used to it, the TTK drops maybe 10% with it equipped. Not much, but if you feel like you need the edge its there.

I always ran with Flak Jacket/Blast Suppressor, and usually no 3rd perk because I hadn't unlocked anything worthwhile.

I'll probably jump straight back to the Man-o-War at release, I love that thing.

Use the Shieva with high caliber. Its a beast. Slap a thermal on there and quickdraw and you'll be drat near unkillable if you can aim.

Also lol, this is the one victory console players have over PC players in terms of quality so they are going to lap up every moment of it.

... Until we decided we hated it after losing one game and immediately switched back to Dom. Although, I still call shenanigans on how it somehow determined we lost despite neither team getting the robot to the point in the overtime rounds.

The movement is dynamic enough, though not as unpleasantly chaotic as A&W, that I prefer less fixed objectives than Dom. KC, Hardpoint (at least the flags move), Safeguard if you play in a non-WWI fashion....

i think the main divisor is that A&W had people up in the air constantly, whereas you only see it so often with this that more often it's a ground-fighting situation.
More may change may come in different maps and the higher weapon unlocks but I like what I've played so far. :shobon:

Safeguard was fun, really good when you have thermite grenades. I felt that it's going to end up being really good or really bad depending on the map. Or if they could possibly change the points and routes for the robot.

Also, yeah the invisible walls are rear end. I think they want to push you down "lanes" like some kind of moba rather than allow free movement around the map. Stronghold is the worst offender for this.

Also gently caress half-caps getting taken out that was the best thing.

We played the escort robot game mode, which was a blood bath, we were stomped hard. That being said, I could see the mode as being fun.

I don't know why so many people are still "sigh domination." From my perspective, it has way better spawns (the maps in the beta are all pretty small. I love KC but I guarantee if you play you'll have someone spawn behind you and kill you), you're less likely to flip, the rounds are longer, and the points make a nice focal point for flow, kill streaks, and communicating via mic.

Combine is straight up terrible in Dom though. C is a hilariously awful spawntrap, and B gives you cover if you're capping from A but not if you're capping from C.

The other maps are decent (I love Evac) though. In general I find triangle setups work better than straight line setups for domination. Allows for much more interplay with points.
