I still love the reddit story about buying a micro-house to solve the Vancouver affordability problem.

Yup nothing like renting a spot in a mobile home park close to industrial zoning, paying $45k out of pocket and the lot rental per month is still $800.

Oh man I watched that thing get built up close almost from the beginning. I love tinyhouses and the idea behind them, I love the super novel architectural design, but putting one anywhere in Metro Vancouver is pretty loving dumb TBQH. The problems they are designed to solve are not compatible with the situation in the lower mainland.

In all Norway saved 900 billion USD total for its sovereign fund.

How big would Canada's oil fund be if they would have been as sensible as the Norwegians since the start?

Isn't his "house" a 1 bedroom apartment anyway? Like congratulations, you've got 600sq feet all to yourself, I hope that low mortgage is worth the inability to ever live comfortably with another human being for as long as you own it.

I mean, I'm not opposed to owning, but seriously, you're bragging about your absolutely tiny apartment.

186 square feet I believe, 600 is the minimum allowed size for a house in lots of municipalities, it's hardly tiny. The only tiny house story that matters is this one, https://caseyfriday.com/2014/12/end-of-an-era-our-tiny-house-was-stolen/
