If this isn't OSHA, I don't want to be OSHA. Although knocking the last two over with the fork lift does seem a little like cheating.

This isn't nearly as exciting as some stuff posted here, but the cleaning crew in my store has started using a propane powered floor buffer. It seriously looks like some hacked together lawnmower engine hooked to a propane canister and sounds like it too. E: Should have mentioned, apart from the propane smell, the thing is painfully loud. Wear heading protection or enjoy hearing loss loud. Of course no one gets any ear-pro. Alternative pants fucked around with this message at 17:11 on Sep 2, 2015 |

I've hit a water main before (my locator was a lazy rear end in a top hat who didn't bother noticing that I was 65" deep when we should've been ~36"-48" edit: in the second picture that isn't an excavation, that's what the burst water main did, washed it all away. If it was 12" (it was 6" or 150mm) it probably would've washed away a good part of the road. A chunk of sidewalk almost fell on that gas line (the utility above the water) but luckily our operator grabbed it with the backhoe in time. I have more OSHA pictures somewhere and a very OSHA story that happened 2 weeks ago that I will probably write when I'm not working 10-12 hours a day Hot Karl Marx fucked around with this message at 00:03 on Sep 3, 2015 |
