Its so sick how anything that you think will work will work when you try it for the most part, also how you have to just figure out how to get poo poo done, its not like other games where theres obvious routes laid out, any way that you can get to an objective is completely valid

I got lots of dudes to surrender to the tranq gun. The range was about 3 meters, and you have to approach them from behind, though.

This a million times. I think I've dumped 20 hours or more into the game, and I think I'm sitting at 11% completion. I really like how the game tracks the side objectives you complete and you don't have to do them all at once. Like, you can get the S rank, then come back with the sole intent on rescuing some POW or extracting some vehicle and use all the toys. I also like how you aren't ranked outside of missions, so I can get some use out of my grenades and air support. GMP seems tight, but not too much. I'm very liberal with my resupplies, so I probably use more than absolutely needed. If I kept more on hand I'd try setting up different loadouts, but really I've just been using the WU S. Pistol and the silenced assault rifle it default equips you with because I prefer to play through stealthy first. I should be smarter about calling in new camo for new areas, too.

There's a door I think three floors up and had two guards standing by in my game. They were shooting the poo poo and I was running around trying to find the source of the radio music that was playing. I thought my prisoner was in the medbay, but I was wrong. The correct door has kind of a blue light over it. I suspect that red doors need specific people to be brought back to base before they open, and you might need to do a "retrieve former Mother Base member" side op first.

This is the perfect realization of Hideo Kojima's dream of an infiltration game. I love sizing up a location, planning an approach, and having everything work out great or having everything get hosed up. I love using every tool at my disposal to complete my objectives, and I love slowly researching and building better tools to assist me. I love my support team, my intel team, my buddies, and how they all work together to reinforce Big Boss as a one-man army.

Can you believe some people looked at this game and then got Mad Max instead?

You have to see it for yourself. My Medbay was level 1 (0/4, I think) and I had completed Missions 1-11 and done the "Extract Mother Base solider" or whatever it's called. I think those are the requirements. The door is on the third floor of the main Medbay strut, and it has a walkway around it. The door faces the central area where the Shooting Ranger indicator is (again, going from memory). We are NOT talking about Quiet, who can be found below the grates via a stairway next to the large.. uh.. grate. She didn't do anything for me, but the music changed and she was laying face down with her top undone.

e: To clarify, I don't know what the Mission requirements are, but that Side Op seems important. I own the guide but I'm cagey to check it because I want to discover this stuff on my own.
