Question: In the Batman '66 TV series, was there ever a scene where Batman was offered some candy and replied, "Actually, I'd prefer a piece of fresh fruit if you have it"? I remember years ago, I was told there was such a line, but this was before the DVDs were widely available. Likewise, was there ever a scene where Batman refused to start the Batmobile because Robin hadn't put his seatbelt on yet?

I don't know about the candy, but this is a huge reason I love '66 so much.

It's only slightly related, but I find it really weird that mutants, both evil and not Cyclops, kept claiming they were "the next step in human evolution" well after they found out they were a botched experiment by the Celestials.

I couldn't tell you the episode, but the seat belt scene definitely happened. Batman 66 was on TV land or something like it when I was a kid and I watched every day. The fruit thing sounds familiar, but that one I'm not positive on. Maybe the episode where he runs against the Penguin for mayor, I know he refuses to kiss a baby in that one because it would be unhygienic.

Right. I was pretty sure the seatbelt one is legit, but the fruit one could honestly go either way. If it's made-up, it's completely believable.

They're both legit. The seatbelt one is from a Catwoman episode in season one. The fruit and candy one is from a season one episode with False Face.

What? Quit looking at me like that. I just love me some Batman '66. Best live action superhero thing ever made.

Also bad. All of the Marvel cartoons except Spectacular Spider-Man and Earth's Mightiest Heroes are bad. Though I've not seen the recent ones.

The 90's Spider-Man cartoon is amazing if only that it had the most convuluted plot in any superhero animated project ever. Like 8 part serials and it was all insane

Also Venom drove a big rig one time

X-Men cartoon is great because it doesn't even pretend it's audience doesn't know the comics. Characters just pop up and vanish with no introduction. Black Panther just cruises through the background without anyone even acknowledging him.

The only thing better is that UPN Hulk cartoon where Ghost Rider shows up to save everyone out of nowhere and then leaves with no explanation.

Didn't the X-Men cartoon pull a Batman The Animated Series and end up introducing a pretty popular character into the mythos or am I totally wrong?

The Hulk show was actually surprisingly good. And featured the dude who plays Dum Dum Dugan in the Marvel movies and TV shows as Banner. It sadly got a lot goofier in the second season when they introduced She-Hulk (voiced by Cree Summer, I believe) and Joe Fixit.

If you have a computer made in the last decade, see if there is a Mame thread on games and ask around there about emulation. Specifically about playing MvC2, you can't emulate any of the systems capable of playing MvC3.

Some teeth long for ripping, gleaming wet from black dog gums. So you keep your eyes closed at the end. You don't want to see such a mouth up close. before the bite, before its oblivion in the goring of your soft parts, the speckled lips will curl back in a whinny of excitement. You just know it.
MvC2 is great but UMvC3 is also great. You can have Phoenix Wright beat up Galactus.
