Joining the ugly shoes crew with a pair of super comfy (and hopefully super durable) new hiking boots after destroying my last two pairs. I'm going to walk for 12 days I don't want them to break in the middle of the trip. Meindl Tauern 2 Also needed a smaller hiking bag since we are not going to carry our whole stuff, and Quechua just released a new line with a system to keep your back ventilated and it's exactly what I needed for the Tropics  Quechua Forclaz air+ 30L
