It seems like every piece of bad news out of TNA makes Regal "excited for TNA's future". I mean, self-delusion that everything is going to be fine and everyone backstage are happy and trying their best to fix issues is one thing, but being so thrilled for the future goes to a place I can't even pity anymore.

The Destination America deal only lasted one year right? I thought they were certain this was going to be a long-term relationship that was going to catapult TNA to the number one spot.

Normally I'd say that's not unreasonable, but I'm comfortable in thinking TNA's done on TV after the DA deal. If they still manage to limp on, that would just be sad. TNA has spent the last 5 or 6 years in a state of constant decline and it would be hard to imagine any kind of resurgence

I imagine the fans who were generally against hiring the Nasty Boys and Val Venis for instance have long abandoned TNA by now edit: I think a TNA deal is a hard sell to indie workers of note these days, so their options there are a little limited

It's insane how deluded these people are. Bad news after bad news is met with some response of "this could be a good thing for TNA" is almost every instance. TNA could fold tomorrow and some motherfucker would have a way to spin it where it's an advantage for TNA.
