I think if your goal is a one device to do all type of thing, this fails. If you want a dedicated note taker, or PDF viewer, or just a bigger iPad with more power and don't mind paying the extra price then its' fine. It's not for everyone, but the surface tries to do it all, but isn't QUITE the greatest at everything it tries. I owned one and found it was a bit too thick to enjoy carrying around all the time to take notes, and the keyboard was poor for when I wanted an actual laptop. Personally, I'm happy to have the option of an iPad I can write on AND a laptop.

I use LastPass and generate a random password for every site .. not having to login to lastpass every time was a godsend.
