Persona 2 is worth crawling through for the story and characters, The game play isn't horrible but definitely is dated. Innocent sin then eternal punishment. Also can we just get a p5 date already?

The anime was largely lame and filled with distractingly bad art/animation, but three or four jokes were terminator-2-exploding-skeleton-hanging-onto-fence.gif - I had to switch back and forth between languages and subtitles just to see if they were equally amazing across all versions.

It is baffling that they took Devil Survivor 2, pretty much the goofiest game under the SMT banner, and tried to make a grimdark murderfest out of it.

Do they really have to market Persona 5? I mean I figure that everyone who is going to buy Persona 5 is already aware of it and will buy it regardless of marketing or whatever. You're not going to hook the normies with a couple of TV spots.

Whenever a game gets under marketed, without fail, you have someone wander into the thread and go "why didn't they market this better, I'm a fan and I didn't even know it was coming out!"

Marketing does not exist because low-key games need it, it exists to not only keep people aware of your product, but to inform other potential buyers of your product. Call of Duty is marketed to hell and back despite being one of the most lucrative game franchises out there. Does it need marketing? Yes it does, because beyond the fact you want to incite potential buyers, you want to keep it in people's minds even after release.

My guess is they announce the release date for Japan and maybe the US at the end of the Stream. I feel like Atlus USA is probably already working on P5, and I would not be terribly surprised if they aim for Japan and US release date in December. I don't think that really puts a crunch on them marketing wise because its not like they need months of buildup and they are not going to be buying any TV spots in the US anyways.

Persona 4 got announced in March with a July release date, so December wouldn't be out of the question. Whatever we see this week will be the near final game.
