Yeah, and that the timber industry itself died out for a variety of reasons. At this point, it is actually a relatively minor source of employment. Oregon's entire economy pretty much completely changed in the space of 30-40 years.

I wonder how much of the decline in poverty in the south was from desegregation?

I like how the amount of (estimated) detail makes the correlation between income and obesity super obvious.

Edit: vv yeah that's D.C. so east of the Anacostia river is a largely black population.
