Liberty students love to think of themselves as being 'different' and 'edgy', when in reality they are styrofoam levels of boring. He probably already has a large contingent of supporters at Liberty (relatively speaking), they all hate Hillary because their parents hated her and they remember that from the 90s.

But really, it was mostly just a clever campaign move designed to get him a bunch of exposure that he wasn't really getting before and if he changed a few minds in the process, well, cool beans. edit: I misread your post but whatever, my point still stands I guess
