Actually, I think this is a case of what you see is what you get. I think the game is finished, dangling plot threads and all. A similar thing happened with MGS2 where people thought that the game wasn't finished and that there must have been stuff cut for time when it wasn't the case at all.

MGS5 does have some pretty good horror aspects, although I am hesitant to think that Kojima would be good enough to expand it into a full game.

Over the past week the "thank you" image on Scott's website has had characters replaced one and two at a time with "small" versions that people assume are the RPG designs. They're kid-friendly in a cute mascot sort of way, like how some family-oriented chain restaurants present characters. There's no word on what kind of RPG it's going to be so I'm hoping for "Hello Kitty Island Adventure."

The issue there being that people are finding a lot of cut content and signs pointing to more in this case already, see the cut mission 51 that was explicitly tying up some of the massive plot threads that are unfortunately just left dead in the current game. Also people digging up stuff pointing to a planned chapter 3. A PC release helped speed up the sleuthing a lot this time around.

Though regardless of the couple good spooky scenes in TPP, this discussion's more suited to it's actual thread :v:

...That's exactly what happened with MGS2 though? I mean MGS2 is a fantastic game but there were plans for a much longer game than what we got. You were originally supposed to be able to explore more of Shell 2, and I believe I remember hearing about some crazy poo poo like a boss whose gimmick is Sharks. There was a lot of stuff cut, probably more for budget than for time honestly, since Kojima was well on his way to trying to wring Konami pretty much completely dry to fund his insane game ideas after MGS1 was a huge success. That said, I do think that they managed to handle MGS2's cut content better than V's (assuming that is the case? I have no idea honestly), since MGS2 still...at least tries to tell a "coherent" story.

Going through some Japanese horror themed games and I stumbled on one I never heard about. Blood+ One Night Kiss, by Grasshopper and Suda51. It's basically the prototype to No More Heroes with some early rear end Deadly Premonition adventure elements (seriously, Francis York Morgan's running animation is identical to Saya's). A mediocre game by all definitions but stylish e.g. Suda's entire library.

I just bough the Resident Evil remastered game on steam and though I'll pick the easiest option just to get used to the game again, had to restart after 10 mins it was really too easy 3 bullets to take a zombie down!? Didn't expect it to be that easy. It's been good to play so far though now I have it on a slightly harder setting.

Blood+ is one of those series that gets 50,000 adaptations/remakes/spin-offs for no explicable reason, and none of them are good.

I've never heard about the game but it's based on the anime series of the same name, which in turn is based on the anime movie Blood: The Last Vampire.

It's good but it's not done yet. So you'll reach a random point where you'll walk down a hall and it'll say 'Thanks for playing'. I will say I enjoyed a lot of the set pieces, but there's a point later where they introduced a psuedo death mechanic that's really strange and out of place.

Also if anyone is looking for some cheap horror, Stray Cat Crossing is in there for a reasonable price: https://www.indiegala.com/ (along with Oniken which is a pretty fun retro game) and Uncanny Valley is pretty cheap in this bundle: https://www.indiegala.com/trekker. Both are great, somewhat short indie horror titles.

It's still weird that someone went to Goichi Suda and said "Hey, we need you to make a licensed anime game" and the result is proto-Deadly Premonition with Killer 7's art style and No More Heroes' gameplay. The weirdest thing of all? There's zero fanservice, at least none that I've found. You can even look up the character's skirt and it's just shadow.

The horror genre is surprisingly barren of blatant fanservice, at least throughout most of the 90s. Even hentai developers are pretty reserved when they make a horror game. It's very much the opposite in the West where we associate gratuitous sex among teenagers as the thing most deserving thing for a machete to the head.

Didn't read the OP when he started posting "plot" but given the comments section I am going to call this nonsense and trolling.

E. I have to wonder where these ideas come from, what would be the motivation to stream the game on an unknown channel without anyone knowing with a threat of a lawsuit pending? It doesn't make sense if they aren't even doing it for the views
