Sending tons of positive thoughts your fiancé's way. My younger sister has MS...but is going great with the new meds & advancements of the past few years. Also, she spends most weekends hiking with her husband, or working with him on their house addition. And she makes way more $$$ than any of her siblings and business travels on the regular.

Every puzzle
has an answer.
I would like to share a story about a place that did really well by me - Pat's boarding place for Cats.

I have Cystic Fibrosis, and as a result spend a lot of time in the hospital, compared to a normal person. This is hard on the little fluffballs me and my wife live with - Woodchuck and Clementine, an enormous grey tabby and a three-legged long-haired prima-donna. Woodchuck was my contribution to the relationship.

He's loving, good with strangers, super sweet, and dumb as a brick. He's also imprinted on me very strongly. Anytime he's awake, he wants to be in the same room as me, and if I'm away for more than about a day, he starts meowing constantly and inconsolably. Even while eating. Especially while eating.

When I was told I had to go into the hospital for a course of IV antibiotics early this year, we decided to put Woodchuck somewhere. But he gets lonely so easy, so we needed a place where we knew the people would love on him. After some research, we found Pat's, and took him in.

We arrived, got him set up, and the staff said they'd let us know how he was doing and post photos on facebook. Then I went off on my grand medical adventure. Five days later, I wasn't doing so well. My wife had been away working a lot. The drugs were slow to take effect. I was worried about my little buddy. It was days in a hospital room, mostly by myself, getting tons of drugs, without feeling I was getting better and the doctors just shrugging and saying 'Well, you're here until you get better.". I was seriously on the verge of, as the kids say, 'Seriously losing my cool'.

And then Pat's place posted these photos -

I think I stared at them and smiled like a dope for like ten minutes. Just seeing my kitty was doing well made me feel better and helped me pull myself together and I legit think it actually helped my medical outcome. They were also very supportive of me extending Woodchuck's stay with little notice, and, later, when I went in again, they even waived a holiday fee when I had to extend a stay over a holiday weekend and they learned I wasn't out on holiday, but instead in the hospital.

In short, Pat's is great. They also have a facebook feed that they post photos of all their kitties, which is 100% worth following if you like adorable cats.

As of right now, I've been healthy for quite a while. This is good for everyone! Obviously for me, but also for Woodchuck, since he gets to be at home with me and do the things he loves most.

Whatever those are.
