New cheap jeans, i'm gonna get a whole bunch of new clothes this winter, but just needed something quick in the interim: Some curtains cos i'm finally sick of the barely opaque net pieces of poo poo that came in this apartment when i moved in 2.5 years ago. Some shelves to mount on my bedroom wall so i can finally put my books back on display rather than keeping them in cardboard boxes in the living room for the past 2.5 years And another glass shelf for some trinkets and candles to also go in the bedroom cos it's seriously lacking in wall art.

I found an axe shaped void in my life but realized I wasn't to be trusted with a real axe. So I got a "trainer" axe to combat boredom with. Cold steel indeed.

Pics are easily googled, but I bought a Galaxy S2 Tablet 8". I needed to replace the PornPhone(tm) which was an old Galaxy S3 I mostly only use for porn. Since I can already operate the Galaxy with one-hand I figure I'd stick to what I know.

Hey I got one of those off of amazon's warehouse deals this weekend as well. It's black though. Also an ab roller. They were both opened but in good condition, got them for more than half off. It is indeed sweet, I had the simpler model for years and years.

First order had a broken strap on a backpack that needed to be returned. 2nd was a vacuum in perfect condition. If your order is fine the savings are great. Warehouse owns

Great cabinets. Kirby is a good vacuum, just not worth nearly what they charge for them. I've got a 16 year old G4 and all its accessories, and other than the drive system wanting to go forward a little more eagerly than backwards it still works really well. Just pay attention to the pile depth notches if you ever remove the beater bar, putting it back in the wrong position can have the bar binding on your carpet and letting the belt melt against the shaft. If you two like it already then you'll do fine, I've known some people who couldn't wrap their head around the accessories, and ~18 Lbs is kind of high for a vacuum.

Coffee And Pie posted:I bought that stuff that lets you peel off your foot skin and a tin of herbal smoking blend from Rose Mountain Herbs, because we're all going to die some day, so gently caress it. Aww man, don't take off foot skin unless it's causing you pain or you tend to get sub-callus blisters. Good foot calluses can take a whole hiking season to develop. It's like guitarists who try to maintain finger calluses even when they don't have time to play, otherwise they'll blister like crazy the second they pick up a guitar. Through-hikers purposely try to slaughter their feet in the months before their trek so they build up a nice pad of thick skin. That thick skin and zinc tape can let you hike all day long. It's like armor.

ELO live at Hyde Park from last year. Also contains the Mr. Blue Sky documentary and an interview with Jeff Lynne. Jeff just signed a record deal with Columbia Records and will have a new album out next year. He's also planning a concert tour. If he gets close enough to me, I will be there.

I just got the book (which explains why you got yours sooner if you got a tshirt- the higher reward tiers went out first). I did donate enough that my character is in the back index though! Is the Music of Glitch the same stuff that's on that bandcamp page? I've given it a listen but haven't gotten around to purchase yet. I've been friends with Brent for over a decade now and followed him to Glitch- after seeing his art for so long it's nice to have something physical of it I can hold (other than the kukubee art prints and zip bags his wife was kind enough to send me).

Based on a recommendation from this thread, I ordered a Sleep Innovations 12" mattress. It showed up in about 3 days on Amazon's default shipping option. Was nearly entirely inflated soon after I opened it, but I gave it about 20 hours before trying it. I've only slept on it once, but... it's kind of amazing. It usually takes me forever to fall asleep, but I fell asleep on this in no time. I could feel myself sink into it, and my whole body was supported, which is new to me. I'm kind of 'wide-hipped'? So there was always a noticeable gap between me and the mattress there; plus, whenever I would roll around at night, that extra hip leverage would strain my back I think. I really haven't had a good night's sleep in years. I went to sleep on this bed, and I woke up in the exact same position, which I'm taking as a good sign. I'm excited/optimistic.

Mister Kingdom posted:This came today: Lost in Space buddy. I was about 8 or 9 in 1974, and it ran in syndication on the local indie just about when I ran in the door from school; the mad, later John Williams opening score (with the countdown) + afterschool sugar had me bouncing off the walls like a hummingbird on speed. My nephew's not much younger than I am, so we spent a hell of a lot of time playing on my swingset pretending it was the Jupter II -- he always always played the Robot. I gotta see if I can get this in R2 -- Mr Boods has never seen the TV show; he's only seen the film and didn't even realise there was a TV show that went with it.
