the sad part about the vita is that back when the 3DS was still $250 and had no games, i thought it had a legit chance of winning when they announced it had the same price point. but then they did all that dumb poo poo with memory cards and tried to sell it with a bunch of handheld entries in random western console-centric IPs like uncharted and killzone when that's never the kind of stuff that's been big on handhelds.

The thing is gore, torture and justice porn makes the stakes higher and the world darker. If you see someone die by stabbing or shooting there isn't much gore and you wouldn't care as much but if you see someone getting cut in half with blood and guts everywhere it has a much bigger impact on you as a viewer.

this guy who has some serious misconceptions about history is cooler In addition, it really shows how dark and brutal pre-modern societies are. I really appreciated that aspect because it doesn't try to dress up the past like a lot of fantasy settings. The past was brutal, bloody, and nasty.
