the combat system tries to ape SMT but the positioning gimmick just ends up being completely poo poo. the super over the top dating sections were the real meat of the game and extremely entertaining

the part where will starts crying as he talks poo poo about his dad wasnt in the script, will smith actually improvised the scene based on his own experienced where he cried and started talking poo poo about his dad uncle phil's hug wasnt in the script, he improvised because he saw a hug in family matters and got inspired from it ----------------

the wildest rear end posted:i have decided i dont like playing as plague knight compared to shovel knight how far did you get I was having trouble too but I got used to it after I picked up the float burst, it's one of the first upgrades you can get and it makes platforming a lot easier. you can get an arcana called vat later that also helps a ton

and also, throughout the whole game plague knight is slippery but throwing a bomb stops his momentum, and you can do the throwing motion even if you have max bombs out so that's helpful too
