So just wanted you guys to give me some feed back on things to work on. I played a lot of gun game and arms race and have no trouble doing those games. Competitive is a whole new beast. I'm not ranked and have been MM till I get ranked so I can play with some friends. This was a terrible match where no one communicated. I know my cross hairs fall towards the ground sometimes and I'm trying to be consensus about that. I try to rush up to ladder or use the semi for cover to run garage or use the market to sneak around. Definitely don't run straight up to the windows.

There's loads of places to hide with a shotgun on Bank. Both side buildings are pretty close quarters, and rushing straight for the ladders puts you in pretty close proximity. Bonus because you can kill people in mid-air/on ladder with shotgun nice and easy. If you're in the middle building just crouch behind a wall and wait for the inevitable. Demolition is a pretty chill gamemode, I quite like it. It's the only Valve gamemode where there isn't an obviously superior alternative readily available.

I did that, camped the corner near the entrance to the main building, but someone came from the side building and was too far away to get with the shotgun.

If you're T look to the left, there's a building there, run all the way through it and come around behind the CTs and shoot them. If you're a CT, look to the right, there's a building there, run all the way through it and come around behind the Ts and shoot them. For some reason nobody ever looks over there to see if anyone's coming.

Just focus on having fun with the game, trying stuff out, and finding your settings when you're starting out. Once you feel a bit comfortable you can do stuff like go into an empty server or that one recoil custom map and learn some movement and gun mechanics, how to stutter step, how to do the 9 round bursts, how fast you can tap, et cetera... After that, you can do some DM (Regular, Headshot Only, or Pistol Only) or some 1v1 arena servers to practice your aim if you want, but don't do this if it isn't enjoyable for you. You can also watch some youtube videos which are not bad guides in this year 2015 for dumb things like video games. Adren and Steel have pretty good game knowledge, and have a bunch of guides on a variety of stuff. Then in game you can focus on one aspect of the game at a time, like using grenades well or taking good angles. Also 1v1 is probably the best fix for learning how to take angles for new players because deathmatch is more pure aim and since you have so many engagements per minute in 1v1 you quickly learn not to have your face inside of a corner

Ran into an odd bug. I'm trying to list an item for like  and I have to go into my email to list it. I do that, it shows up under my listed items...but never actually shows up. I search for the item and it straight up isn't there.Can you just not search for you own listings? Because this thing is like a buck cheaper than anything else on the market and no dice.

Anyone got any experience with the goonpug plugin? Just got it on my server and seems to be working but a few problems I replaced maplists.cfg with the goonpug one but the sm_admin maps menu doesnt seem to be reading it and is getting the maps listing from somewhere else? The goonpug maps won't show up in the default admin menu. I'm not sure where sourcemod looks to fill the admin map menu by default, so you'll have to look at the SM documentation yourself.
