Walker today, Bush tomorrow, Clinton next November. All will wilt in the glow of the bright light of Donald J. Trump. The silent majority is back, an no bought-and-paid for shills, Democrat or Republican, will stop us from making America Great Again. Choo-choo!!!

"Sadly the debate taking place in the Republican party today is not focused on that optimistic view of America." He's literally dropping out because Donald Trump is saying mean things. (Well, really because he's out of cash, but his narrative is funnier.)

So with Walker out that leaves the establishment backing either Rubio or Jeb! correct?

I've got to believe the spotlight is about to shine brightly on Rubio. He'd better get ready; the Papal visit is going to touch on a lot of his issues.

Alter Ego posted:So with Walker out that leaves the establishment backing either Rubio or Jeb! correct? Almost certainly. Possibly Kasich, but Rubio and Bush are more likely. From an outsider's perspective, I think Rubio is their strongest candidate (not in that I would vote for him, but that he would do well for the Republicans in the general compared to his competition), but who knows if the establishment/Republican voters think so.

@dick_nixon Remember that Walker called Reagan's firing of the air traffic controllers the most significant foreign policy decision of his lifetime. 8:17 PM - 16 Sep 2015 He's on fire on Twitter.

Daaamn, this is a brutal primary. It's definitely hilarious how two "serious" candidates, multi-term governors, have been the first two out of the race. Who's going to be next? It seems like almost everyone else has motive for staying in it. Maybe Jindal finally caves, if there's not another kid's table debate for him. but the bottom tier candidates won't drop. Maybe Christie? yeah, Christie will be next. and then probably Jindal. Everyone else will tough it out until Iowa.

The sustenance was so great last time that his heart even began to beat again.

Don't worry about Walker, he'll console himself with several Wal-mart sheet cakes emblazoned with Reagan's visage, that he'll eat, slowly, with a plastic fork, while making this face:
