Yes they've been producing and selling the drug for 0.2% of the actual cost of the drug for 62 years but somehow managed to stay afloat. Well, his company recently purchased it. But if you think about it, purchasing a cheap drug for dying people at such a high price that you KNOW you have to charge hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for it is more evil than trying to keep a struggling company afloat.

Only 5? Heh, amateur.

Turtlicious posted:And that's what Jude means in Yiddish? That's incredibly efficient, my god. No, that means "Jew" in German. Jewish people were forced to wear those yellow stars so that they could be more easily controlled during the ghettoisation of their populations before and during the activity of the concentration camps. I never know if someone is being facetious about not knowing this, or if they actually don't know, so I guess if you're trolling, good job, you got me.

I guess I'm just ignorant, but a few points about why I wouldn't have gotten that without explanation: 1. I knew about the "nazis making them wear such and such so we can identify jews", but I didn't know they called jews "Jude" 2. I've heard of Yom Kippur, but have no idea what it was for. For all I know it could have been a sacred Jewish holiday in remembrance of the holocaust like veteran's day/nine eleven/memorial day. So even if I knew about "Jude", it could genuinely be an image you could use to represent that. Again, I'll freely admit I'm a dumb american.
