Cool, no last minute recap is a good sign.

I figure it would have shown before now if they were so desperate as to do a recap for the last episode.

Holy poo poo! Hajime used Berg-Katze's ability to trick the world for good! She's like an inverse Aztec eagle warrior, absorbing people into her heart to gain their power. I hope the denouement features a hook that X is going to be or be the cause of the season 3 villain.

X being a villain is stupid and makes no sense though.

# ? Sep 22, 2015 14:36 |
X is a villain from the original show, just like the others have been. Apparently part of a defeated X forms into "Z" and recruits another villain to help him. So there's your setup, X fractures or otherwise births a separate bad guy.

Thematically it would be interesting to have a season where (possessed, maybe?) Hajime is the villain, and so have the series be about the other characters carrying on the spirit of her ideas. That would be far preferable, IMHO, to an evil X.

Hajime has already conquered herself. No JJ or gatchaman, nor Katze banded with trolls can turn that triumph back into defeat.

I honestly had to sit around and think for like an hour after seeing the last episode to understand exactly how she managed to look like Gel. Once I came to the same conclusion I was pretty mind blown.

I thought she used some form of Amnesia Remind or whatever that power is, but I'm sure they'll say explicitly how it happened next ep.

obviously X will hit her teenage rebellion phase and try to make a new, better Galax, and that will create Z

Lumberjack Bonanza posted:Gel was never really a villain but they still hosed up everything by trying to force a narrow view onto a society totally alien to them This is basically what I was thinking with regards to a potential season 3 "villain." Perhaps antagonist is a better word for it, but we got a glimpse of X's motivation being more than just support, in that it's all-in on Rui's desire to update the world. If Rui gives up on it, choosing instead to let it happen more naturally (which I think is the crux of his development?) there's no guarantee that X won't decide that it's doing Rui a favor by taking over the spearheading that initiative for him or what have you. Good intentions spawning negative consequences kind of thing. All I know is, this show never fails to surprise. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would watch a show where the Ironman suit fighting is the least exciting part of an episode.

Yeah, X deciding that the world needs updating, but not letting it in the hands of Rui, who was shown as capable of just giving up as the rest of the masses, if not more, is not far-fetched.

They need it. The new Count Egobossler must be seen. Gatchaman Series 1 was Berg Katze Gatchaman Series 2 was Gel Sardra Gatchaman Series 3 was Count Egobossler so they need to end the series with him and maybe Sousai Z.

I think we all need to take a moment to reflect on the fact that Twitter Buddha died for our sins. Also I want to see the Crowds version of Count Egobossler so bad that it hurts.

S3 willbe about the class divide and the utilization of wealth to accumulate power and manipulate the people. Egobossler will be some sort of alien adviser to a CEO who begins to produce power suits that can emulate the powers of the Gatchaman
